We often crave for something quick and fresh. So let us talk about Avocado Toast. The creamy avocado spread is a basic breakfast on bread that anyone can do. Plus side of it, you can add other ingredients according to taste. It is the simplest pleasure not to mention healthy too. (don't forget that part)
The Secret for Tasty Avocado Toast and Twists
I am sharing my basic recipes with additional variational recipes. If you never taste Avocado toast before, you are so missing out. It is healthy and fast. Even your kids can do it. The amount of Avocado can be abundance or just a slight splash, depending on your preference. Here is how you can make it.
Ingredients
- Whole grain Bread or your usual bread
- Ripe Avocado not mushy
- Salt
- Garlic
- Herbs
- Eggs
- Butter
- Nuts like Almond, Macadamia, or any type that you like.
This recipe does not need any baking or cooking. You need a toaster to toast the bread. If you don't have any, then a simple heat on the pan with butter is fine.
How to Make The Best Avocado Toast
Step 1
Mash the Avocados in a separated bowl with a fork. Make them creamy like when you are making guacamole. Mashing a lot of Avocados at once can use a utensil such as a potato masher. I like chunks of Avocado in my toast. So it did not feel like I am eating Avocado puree.
Step 2
Add Salt to your mashed Avocados to add taste.
Step 3
Toast your bread until brown. Make sure to keep it light.
Step 4
Take your bread and add a hint of garlic before adding the Avocado spread to give an extra smell.
Step 5
(optional) you can add chopped fresh cilantro, basil, parsley or dill. For a heavier twist, you can also add sliced of eggs on top for protein. Need extra heat? Jalapenos is a great addition to the recipe.

Here are some Avocado toast variations that I like to endeavour from time to time. It all depends on what is fresh and what is on the fridge.
- Loaded Avocado Toast
When I want to do super extra on my Avocado toast, I add chopped fresh onion, radish, nuts and roasted sunflower seeds.Spinach and kale can be a nice addition for more greens. Extra protein with bacon is also a great topping.
Tomato-Basil Avocado Toast
If there are fresh cherry tomatoes, I will add them to my Avocado toast. Add sliced tomato for more freshness. A drizzle of balsamic vinegar or glaze seals the deal.
Healthy Avocado Toast
My take on a healthy and modern Avocado toast is a thick layer of mashed Avocado with a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes and Salt. Its fresh, hot and light at the same time.
